DeleteNICODEMUS BY BRAD MCINTYRE
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the words to Nicodemus?
I remember parts of it.
Nicodemus was a rich man
a rich young ruler was he
__________________________
a reputable Pharisee
He came to Jesus on night and
this is what Jesus said
You must be born again
to enter into my fathers Kingdom
You must be born again
to enter into life.
My mom had the song written down with chords, we used to sing it all the time when I was a kid, I loved it. Hope this fills in the blanks for you. Now if you find the music anywhere let me know, I'd love to hear it!
DeleteThat's vs.1 here's the line you're missing:
Well known in the synagogue - A reputable Pharisee...
vs2 Nicodemus was offended, but he couldn't let Jesus know, & at the same time he was convicted, but he didn't dare let it show, 'cause after all he was a Pharisee, he never made one mistake, and the thought of his unrighteousness was just too much to take.
But Jesus said "You must be born of the water & Spirit, if you would see my Father's Kingdom You must be filled with the Holy Spirit, If you would enter into life.
vs. 3 Jesus paused and listened to the rustling of the trees, and said "Nicodemus, the Spirit of God is - something like the breeze, Oh, you don't know where it's going to, You can't tell where it starts - But it blows across the souls of men & changes peoples' hearts.
Just like the serpent in the wilderness, the Son of Man is lifted up, that whosoever shall believe in Him - shall have eternal life.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever shall believe in Him, shall not die, shall never die.
Vs. 4 Nicodemus went home that night quite a different man
Pierced thru by the words he heard
trying to understand
And when Jesus would be lifted up
That would be to him a sign
And the words that Jesus spoke that night
Will echo 'til the end of time.
You must believe in me, if you would see my Father's Kingdom, You must put your trust in me,
For I alone can save your soul.
He Made the Mountains - Brad McIntyre
ReplyDeleteHe made the mountains,
He made the seasons, we all know it.
He had the Love so he showed it,
When He created you & me
Born in a manger, shepherds and wisemen couldn’t find him.
Heaven and Glories were all behind Him
He came to be the Lamb for you and me
And on the solemn day when people laughed
So blind they couldn’t see, they nailed Him to the tree
And heavenly angels turned away from the scene
Yet in His misery, He said, “forgive them please.”
He made the mountains,
He made the seasons, we all know it.
He had the Love so he showed it,
When He died for all our sins to set us free,
Da da da da, da da da da da da da da
Can you imagine? Living your whole life as a stranger
A love so deep your life’s in danger,
Yet He drinks the cup because it has to be,
And even though they whipped Him till He bleeds,
And place upon His head a crown of thorns instead,
His eyes are full of love and tenderness, He bares the cruelest fate,
Without a trace of hate.
He made the mountains,
He made the seasons, we all know it.
He had the Love, so he showed it,
When He died for all our sins to set us free,
When He died for all our sins to set us free,
Da da da da, da da da da da da da da da da
